The role will involve working closely with our Design Estimating and Sales teams to develop integrated solutions that are leading edge, cost effective and competitive in their offering. Position Summary:The Global Product Information team of Technical Writers and Instructional Designers is responsible for creating and publishing documentation and training, including certification deliverables for Dematic standard solutions and subsystems.As an administrator of our certification programs, you will manage our Certification authoring and management tool (BrightSpace). You will be responsible for managing user accounts and records in compliance with regional data privacy agreement laws, maintaining review schedules, assigning reviewers to practical exams, grading and releasing exams, and providing meaningful feedback to students. Additionally, you will be responsible for understanding new features, testing them, and rolling them out to the organization. You will also author certification courses and manage your own subject matter as you are able. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain certification how-to content and document best practices- Act as an approved support contact with vendors—troubleshoot user issues, test, and escalate as appropriate- Assist the Certification Program Manager with new course requests- Review, test, and implement new features or modules. Train writers to use new features effectively. - Manage user accounts, bulk user imports, and user records- Manage all aspects of reporting and analytics within the system. This role plays a critical role in defining the customer requirement during the sales process. You will provide customer-facing consulting capability to support the planning and sales of automated material handling systems in the intralogistics industry. The role is to use a combination of factors in order to propose the most appropriate solutions to clients. These factors include an understanding of the clients’ industries and industry drivers, the analysis of customers’ business data, best practise DC design solutions in these industries together with an ability to develop innovative solutions, and an excellent understanding of the warehouse automation technology. Key responsibilities will include:- To work with the client and internal Dematic sales personnel to develop the appropriate warehousing concepts.- To be able to analyse customer’s business data and review and compare possible intralogistics solutions.- To use knowledge of trends and drivers in our customer industries, as well as best practise automation solutions, to advise the customer and the Dematic sales and solution development teams.- To design concepts including material flow diagrams, sizes and requirements of the functional areas, and the details and dimensioning of the technology to be used.- To work with other members of the sales team to get the engineered solutions drawn up, priced and fully documented in order to help sell the system to respective clients.
The new role of Manager PMO, reporting to EMEA Head of PMO, is key in refining, strengthening and sustaining Dematic’s competitive advantage of project execution on a regional level and will support the creation and implementation of global standards and practices. This role will be responsible for deployement and continuous improvement of various methods, best practices and tools for Project Execution, improving the overall project portfolio management maturity across the region, and tracking and reporting the conformance to plans and expectations of multiple initiatives. This role will also support in delivering consistent project results by increasing emphasis on delivering what was promised to the customer by coaching and guiding the project teams. To give first line support the Dematic installed MHE on a customer site- To carry out first line response to the installed MHE system faults- Prioritise system faults- To complete the relevant faults logs- Maintain product flow at all times- Assist with the MHE equipment servicing in accordance to the Dematic standards as set out in the equipment manuals- To ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.- To ensure quality of output- To complete the relevant service records.- Assist with the resolution of any equipment faults – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC / SCADA- To complete written reports- To complete weekly timesheets- Involvement in continual improvement activities- Other duties as assigned.

Our engineering and controls teams based in our new offices in Kaunas and Vilnius go from strength to strength. Due to the business critical work they undertake for Dematic globally we are now looking to add to the existing team early in 2019 with high performing Controls Commissioning Engineers. This role would suit a graduate in Mechatronics (or equivalent) looking for their first steps in their automation career; or an experienced commissioning engineer looking to take on new challenges.Its important to understand this role supports projects globally so requires substantial travel away from Lithuania (up to 70-80% of the time). This business critical role will be responsible for working as part of a team commissioning automated materials handling systems within constraints of pan-EU projects. And will develop a solid understanding of Dematic control systems and skills to produce electrical and software design amendments also. Key responsibilities:- Reading and correctly interpreting electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools- To assist in Factory testing of the PLC and visualisation software- To interpret design input information and produce sorter control system configuration databases for assigned projects in house- To verify quality of electrical installation on site and troubleshoot errors- Liaise with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors- Following the test procedures, verify basic functionality of control software on site to be able to run the conveyors, sorter or ASRS in standalone mode- To integrate conveyor, sorter or ASRS control system with external subsystems (3rd party sub-systems, host WMS/WCS) ensuring full functionality following the relevant test procedures and according to project specifications- To provide support to site-wide system commissioning activities until acceptance by the end-user- To record all of the software commissioning test results into the proper modules attached to the commissioning test procedure- To feedback relevant information to electrical and software engineering teams to produce amendments to control system designs

Key responsibilities: Specific Responsibilities - Electrical Design - To interpret design input information to produce control system designs.- To produce design and manufacturing programmes.- Production of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.- Design and production of electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools.- Procurement of electrical control panels and liaise with suppliers on technical matters.- Procurement of electrical installation services and liaise with suppliers on technical matters.- Liaise with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors.Specific Responsibilities - Software Design - To produce material flow specifications- To produce a visualisation database- To assist in Factory testing of the visualisation system prior to sending to site- Design, production and test of conveyor control software.Specific Responsibilities – Commissioning - To produce required Health and Safety documentation including, but not limited to Method Statements and Risk Assessments- Liaise with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors. - To commission controls systems on site and to provide support to system commissioning activities until acceptance by the end-user.- To provide conveyor system training for the end user.
This role will provide technical and customer-facing support focussing on the seamless transition of projects from the project execution phase through to go live and operational ramp up. To manage and utilise appropriate resources to effect this transition.
