The Role

Purpose of Role

The VP, Solution Development - EMEA is responsible for building a solution development organization across EMEA that delivers effective solutions to our customers resulting in growth in order intake that exceeds market growth, significantly improves win rates, improves efficiency and speed in our bid process.  Additionally, the VP Solution Development for EMEA will collaborate with global teams in adjacent groups to align our solution sets with developed standards to drive our ability to improve our margin, quality and speed. 

 

Principal Accountabilities

Build a world class organization that leverages and builds our solution development capability in key vertical markets or key technologies across EMEA 

Ensure organization design allows for close contact with sales teams and customers within country

Build processes that drive efficiency of solution development team to improve our time to respond to customers and decreases the hours spent in the solution development process compared to order intake booked.  Drive our capacity to provide proposal faster than the competition

Drive win rate to ensure YOY improvement

Drive order intake growth across EMEA above how the overall market is growing in our industry

Develop EMEA Solution Development team and community to ensure full knowledge sharing, collaboration, engagement and growth of team as a whole

Drive adoption of standards and align on metrics and measures for success to hold the orgaization accountable for adoption.  Provide continuous feedback to ensure that global solutions and standards meet the EMEA market needs

Develop a talent program that builds solution development talent accross EMEA.  Develop successful career path and training and mentoring program to build this capability

Partner with EMEA sales teams and attend customer meetings to ensure success

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree (masters preferred) .
  • Substantial experience in a solutions leadership position
  • Commercial Mindset and commercial success
  • Demonstrates track record of cross cultural experience and success
  • Demonstrates track record of process development and creation of a best in class function
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills; presentation; negotation and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel
