This role is an exciting opportunity for you to join the team at Dematic helping to define and shape the future of materials handling solutions covering the UK region. Your remit will be to support the efficient administration of bids, bid reviews and associated bid documentation. Working on multiple projects, the Bid Assistant will provide support to the team in producing proposals, attending meetings and managing document governance. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking for a step into a career as a Bid Writer.

The Role

  • The primary purpose of this role is to support the bid team to develop compelling proposals for our complex warehouse automation projects principally in Word, Excel and Powerpoint format
  • Coordinate input from a variety of internal stakeholders
  • Ensure proposal documents follow standard formatting and quality standards
  • Maintain document libraries including databases, bid library information
  • Attend review meetings, document review, document governance and print production of completed proposals
  • Support with administrative functions to enable smooth delivery of bids.
  • Seek innovative ways of delivering high quality documentation and work with internal teams to constantly improve quality of bid collateral
  • Use of customer portals to support the bid submission

What We Are Looking For

To apply for this exciting role, you should have / be able to evidence:

  • Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposal documents in a complex business environment
  • Administrative support functions including ordering relevant bid materials
  • The ability to work as a team and to get accurate, high quality information from internal stakeholders to produce bid collateral
  • Ability to convert relevant technical information into plain, coherent English.
  • Experience in creative use of Powerpoint and Word
  • Experience of working to brand guidelines
  • Experience of working in a high pressure environment to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Produce high quality material demonstrating high levels of attention to detail
