The Role

 

The new role of Project Coordinator and Planner, reporting to our Head of Project Delivery, , will play a vital role in driving process management, innovation and success across our growing project portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to support our project execution team in delivery of complex automation projects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Own and lead packages of work through the planning and coordination of individuals and teams in support of project delivery
  • Support the project controls process, through the monitoring and collation of reported costs, resource and scheduling requirements / performance. Working with the project team to collate the required information.
  • Compile and present project status reports from the above information
  • Using Dematic's scheduling tool (MS Project) create and maintain project schedules to monitor the progress of projects. Identify and action current and future schedule deviations, and propose and manage mitigation plans. 
  • Facilitate and lead project progress meetings, and ensure the monitoring of accurate financial quality and schedule performance is achieved.
  • Act as a Project Manager delegation to facilitate and resolve minor project issues where necessary
  • Organise and attend project meeting, taking notes and directing further actions to completion
  • Assist the delivery of new tools and processes across the project delivery teams
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, driving best practice 
  • Actively support the project documentation process; coordinating documentation; collating reports and filing. 

What We Are Looking For

This hugely demanding, business critical but ultimatley rewarding position requires, previous experience in a project planning role

As well as:

  • Foundation level in a project Management PMO qualification
  • Six Sigma (Yellow or Green belt) preferred
  • Substantial experience within Project support - ideally within engineering / complex integration projects
  • Strong capabilities in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
