The Role

Dematic is looking for a Procurement Tactical Buyer to join our winning team in Coslada, Madrid.  This role is accountable to collaborate with Procurement Category Leads, Procurement Project Leads, Project Managers, Engineering, Solutions Development, Finance, A/P, Quality and others to ensure the efficient processing of purchase requirements within our growing organization.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Purchase Order processing and placement.
  • Confirm supplier receipt of purchase orders and ability of supplier to meet delivery dates.
  • Conduct expedites of materials when required.
  • Input and manage SAP Procurement items in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Ensure supplier delivery and invoicing to accomplish the Resale sales forecast.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects within the Tactical team utilizing LEAN concepts, tools, and methodologies to eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
  • Generate reports and analyze information to identify trends and opportunities to improve efficiencies.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in SAP MM.
  • Able to communicate fluently in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Makes effective independent decisions representing day-to-day issues to ensure meeting all expectations for fulfilling customer needs.
  • Preferred basic training in Lean fundamentals and/or Six Sigma.
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with a particular focus on Advanced Excel skills.
  • 4-5 years of relevant Procurement experience. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Operates with minimal business direction.
